BREAKING THE POWER OF NEGATIVES! “MASTER, CAREST THOU NOT THAT WE PERISH?” Mark 4:37-41  Beloved, when one faces a SEASON OF TESTING, without a doubt we realize there is a dark side to life. Sometimes we need a miracle! Satan sets up scarecrows (negative thoughts) to make it appear; GOD DOESN'T CARE.  It has been said and is proven true; “A picture is worth more than a thousand words.” In a raging storm at sea, the disciples future appeared threatened. The wind was out of control; waves were filling the boat with water and their faith hit rock bottom; DEFEAT. In any season of testing, many will question; “WHERE IS GOD IN ALL OF THIS?” Thoughts of hopelessness, criticisms, and strife are stumbling blocks to faith.  DEATH WAS NOT IN THE BOAT. The disciples were no doubt writing their own epitaph; ‘LOST AT SEA.’  Many of life's adversities have signs of 'no hope.' DOES JESUS CARE? The disciples took their concern to a HIGHER POWER than their own. HIS NAME IS JESUS!  They found Him sleeping in the back of the boat on a pillow and pictured it as a huge negative. What the disciples saw in their Master was unconcern and pre-judged Him. MASTER, CAREST THOU NOT THAT WE PERISH? -  The disciples question reveals they were including Jesus in their death-knell. When hearing the disciples calling Jesus Name; He saw fear written all over their faces and He asked them saying; “Why are ye so fearful? How is it that ye have no faith?” (I’m here with you!) "There they were in great fear; where no fear was." Psalm 53:5. Beloved, “If God be for us, who can be against us?” Sudden fear is a natural reaction. Sudden fear can cripple one’s thinking. These men had witnessed many miracles. Was it their thinking 'miracles were not for them? Many do think that way and it isn’t true. THE FACT JESUS WAS WITH THEM IN THE BOAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN PROOF ENOUGH THEY WERE NOT GOING TO DIE! JESUS WAS THEIR SECURITY BLANKET: HE IS OURS ALSO. WE LIVE IN JESUS AND HE LIVES IN US! Although we cannot see the true picture which can cause one to worry during a test of faith; remember; it’s just that; a TEST. Beloved, God has built a HEDGE around those who are dedicated in service to Him. The Book of Job is a testimony to that promise. God sets limits to the evil Satan can bring upon a person. The disciples were still in Jesus 'School of Discipleship' when sudden fear came upon them.  Sometimes when faith fails; Satan wins! It worked in Job’s wife’s testimony. She told her husband to “CURSE GOD AND DIE.” Before the test, she enjoyed all the luxuries of God’s blessings. When a test of faith came, she failed the test. Read Job 1:7  Do you only love me on the good days? On the other hand the test of faith was not for job’s wife but for her husband; being his wife, she naturally was effected by it. When a loved one suffers, we feel their burden and lift them up in prayer. Job had a deep faith and a different attitude to the severe testing in his life than his wife. His answer to her was; she talked like one of the foolish women. "What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil?" Job 2:10  Much goes on in life we have no human control over. The seas of Galilee is one example; it'0s known for its sudden unpredictable storms. The disciples were fishermen; they were aware of the personality of the Sea of Galilee.  Our sea of life is also known for unpredictable sudden storms: still we know God is with us in it. His mercies are new every morning and His compassion fails not." NO HUMAN CAN STOP THE WIND! We cannot tell where the wind originates or where it's going. WIND CAN BE FRIGHTENING; ESPECIALLY IN THE SOUTH. It has no beginning or ending; we cannot see the wind or touch it; it touches us. Beloved, when God gave us the Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven; He also gave us binding powers that can prevent Satan from attacking the children of God (including the elements) "in the Name of Jesus." Matthew 16:19  Some tests are like a mirage; Satan’s scarecrows to cause one to worry or bring fear where no cause for fear is. WHY IS IT EASIER TO WORRY THAN TO HAVE FAITH IN GOD? People forget and it is no surprise; the earth is Satan’s territory. Read Job 1. Whether it be nature gone wild; the wind, waves, sea, war, government manipulations, sickness and disease, a business adventure, broken friendships,  poverty, earthquakes, fire and even death; God is still in control.  FAITH IS AN ACTION WORD!   As the disciples were waiting for Jesus to answer their question; Jesus stood and calmly spoke to the wind and the sea saying; “PEACE.” In an instant, the storm was over. The wind immediately obeyed the voice of the Lord and the sea was quiet. Beloved, do you remember when Jesus performed a miracle for you? He is the same Lord today as He was in that day. The Disciples were in awe; questioning one another; “WHAT MANNER OF MAN IS THIS, THAT EVEN THE WIND AND THE SEA OBEY HIM?” Verse 41 IT IS NO SECRET WHAT GOD CAN DO FOR EVERY INDIVIDUAL WHO TRUSTS FULLY IN HIM. The power of ‘faith in action' through the spoken Word works miracles."SPEAK IT, BELIEVE IT; RECEIVE IT." Jesus did not teach what faith in God can do; He shows us by example just as He showed His disciples. ON THE AUTHORITY OF GOD’S WORD; FAITH MOVES MOUNTAINS. HOW DOES ONE OBTAIN'MIRACLE FAITH? Faith comes by reading God's Word and dedicating our lives to Christ daily. The closer we are drawn to our Savior, the more He gives us power to overcome temptations and negative thoughts. LIVE EVERY DAY EXPECTING A MIRACLE! JESUS IS NO RESPECTER  OF PERSONS. “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." Psalm 91:1. Beloved don’t become fodder for Satanic evil doings and negative thinking. “Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.” 1st John 4:4    How much we depend on God’s Graces determines our peace of mind. An increase of perplexities between nations . . . He said there would be an increase in heart disease (men’s hearts failing them for fear.”) . . . HAS IT REACHED INTO YOUR HOME AS YET? I PRAY NOT! Jesus said “When we see ARMIES SURROUNDING JERUSALEM, THEN KNOW WE WILL ALSO SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING IN A CLOUD" LUKE 21:20-28. GOD'S WORD IS A PROTECTOR WE WILL NEVER EXPERIENCE A LOVE THAT MEASURES UP TO THE ‘LOVE OF GOD.’ When we walk in the light of God’s Word, we will have His BLESSINGS AND PROTECTION. If we forsake our Lord, God’s Word says “We will suffer the bread of adversity and the water of affliction.” God has set before us ‘GOOD AND EVIL’ ‘WE’ CHOOSE.
